The Japan Foundation and National Discovery Museum Institute will jointly present “Kabuki Demonstration and Nishiki-e Exhibition” at National Discovery Museum or Museum Siam of which the schedule is shown as follows:
Kabuki Demonstration
Date/Time: Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.
Venue: Immersive Theater
Program of the Kabuki Demonstration
1. Sanbasou (“Mai” Dance) by Mr. Bando Kotoji --- 5 minutes
2. “What is Kabuki?” Lecture by Ms. Yoshiko Takahashi --- 20minutes
3. Kabuki Make-up Demonstration ---20 minutes
4. Kabuki Dance Demonstration---5minutes
*with audience’s participation
5. Kabuki Dance “Yoshino Yama (Mt. Yoshino)” ---20-30minutes
Nishiki-e Exhibition
Prof. Dr. Surapone Virulrak will kindly preside over the Opening Ceremony
Date/ Time Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at 6 p.m. and the exhibition will be on view until Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. except Mondays.
