PATA APPOINTS SHAHRAM SABER AS ASIA REPRESENTATIVE

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has appointed Shahram Saber in the newly-created role of Regional Director, Asia.
With more than 20 years experience in senior marketing and management roles in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US, particularly with membership-based organisations, Mr Saber is ideally placed to lead PATA’s expansion in the dynamic Asian markets.
Well-known in travel and tourism for his achievements with dive association PADI Asia Pacific, Mr Saber will take on the role via his new representation company Global Travel Marketing Services Ltd.
"As a long-time supporter of PATA, I have been pleased to see its evolution over recent years and I’m now excited to be part of the team, with the opportunity to grow PATA’s brand and business in some of the fastest growing travel markets in the world," Mr Saber said.
PATA President and CEO Peter de Jong said that PATA created the role in recognition of both the scale of Asian membership in PATA and the opportunity for growth.
