“Currently A.D. Time is holding approximately 30% market share in the fashion watch segment. When comparing to the recession period in the last quarter, the market value of the fashion watch market in this quarter is looking up with a tendency for growth. As for the second quarter of 2012, A.D. Time (Thailand) has achieved a good business performance, with sales totaling at around Bt.300 million — a result from the continuous growth of our existing watch brands in Thailand such as odm, Levi’s, Esprit and Esprit Collection. In this quarter, we decided to launch two new watch brands, L.E.D. and Arbutus New York in order to expand our customer base, as well as to stimulate more sales. Our main target groups for the new brands include modern jobbers, teenagers and young-at-heart fashion connoisseurs who are looking for a unique timepiece with an outstanding concept. To promote the two new brands, the company has allocated 30% more marketing budget from that of the last year.
Furthermore, we have extended more distribution channels with a focus on modern trade in leading department stores, such as Siam Paragon, Emporium, the Mall and Robison’s. Lately, we have opened our distribution counter in B2S stores as well. We also aim to increase 50 more branches in Bangkok and up-country markets, which will help us drive more sale growth into more than 50% within the end of this year,” Miss Teerin adds.
The main theme of the launching event “The Rhythm of Light” features the expression of freshness in life through colors and lighting shades. The theme is for welcoming the new fashion season of “Autumn/Winter 2012” and to celebrate the launching of .D. Time’s latest two fashion- watch brands in the Thai market. With the inspiration from the vehicle’s digital dashboard, L.E.D is a highly innovative watch brand created to answer the needs of consumers who like sharp, bright colors and outstanding design. The watches also come with an eco-friendly thought using green materials to match those unique characters. Suitable for wearers who want to express their distinctive identity, L.E.D is fresh, colorful and fun products for all. As for Arbutus New York, the American brand boasts its precision and durability using high quality materials to achieve its signature classic look. Some models of Arbutus reveal their mechanical movements on the dial — a reminiscence of precision timepieces of the enchanting past. Made to cater different functions of usage, the watches are the epitome of classic, timeless item that can express unique identity of the wearers. With these outstanding qualities of the two new brands, A.D. Time (Thailand) is confident to reach the needs of target groups in the Thai market.
